Only Jesus could tell Simon Peter who he really was. Peter had to learn to die to his old nature and his own agenda. Only then could he enter into who the Lord called him to be.

We must leave behind traditions that keep us from understanding the word of Christ. Then we can say “Yes” to His delegated authority and “No” to everything that opposes God’s kingdom purposes.

How Jesus healed this blind man points to the need of every person. It is not enough to hear about Jesus. We need Jesus to lead us to the place where He heals us and opens ours eyes to see clearly.

How will you respond if the Lord asks you a question about your belief system?

Jesus felt compassion on the people who had gathered and chose to give them what they needed for the journey. Feeding the 4000 Gentiles, shows that the kingdom of God Jesus had come to bring, is for all people everywhere who will come and receive from Christ alone.
