We must leave behind traditions that keep us from understanding the word of Christ. Then we can say “Yes” to His delegated authority and “No” to everything that opposes God’s kingdom purposes.

How Jesus healed this blind man points to the need of every person. It is not enough to hear about Jesus. We need Jesus to lead us to the place where He heals us and opens ours eyes to see clearly.

Jesus felt compassion on the people who had gathered and chose to give them what they needed for the journey. Feeding the 4000 Gentiles, shows that the kingdom of God Jesus had come to bring, is for all people everywhere who will come and receive from Christ alone.

Human traditions and religious ritual cannot save you. Only Jesus Christ can save and change you from the inside out.

The disciples had to make a choice to keep following Jesus even when the kingdom purpose he brought was not what they were thinking. The Lord knew their hearts and gave them what they needed to follow through. He does the same for us, if we are willing.

The disciples were disillusioned when what Jesus did and said did not match their expectations. They needed to learn who Jesus really was to know the peace of God. So do we.

Jesus gave thanks in faith, knowing the Father would supply much more than the people needed. We need to believe Him to see the cup of His grace meet our needs and overflow into the lives of others.
